It has been a difficult week processing this election. I have run through a gamut of emotions and thoughts, not to mention it’s been rough on my anxiety.
The world is beset with problems.
This morning, I got up and stopped at the window to watch a wren and a cardinal at one of my bird feeders. A black-capped chickadee held to some ivy, waiting her turn. A tufted titmouse pecked at seed that had fallen on the ground among the ferns. I gazed at the sky with the sun gently shining behind clouds.
I breathed in.
I breathed out.
I rooted myself in the wondrousness of it all: the paradox of how both coexist in this moment. The difficulties of this world and the great beauty of this world.
