While out with COVID last week, I was quarantined in a room by myself. Without all the distractions, I began work on a children’s book I’m working on. Each section of this book will take place during a different season of the year. It is inspired by the books of my childhood that I loved so dearly: Beatrix Potter’s tales, Winnie-the-Pooh, Frog and Toad, Little Bear, Brambly Hedge and The Wind in the Willows. Anthropomorphic animals loomed large in my imagination. I have finished the entire first section, summer, and am now working on the second season, autumn.
